International growth

The market readiness of the DeVeTec waste heat power plants in 2015 also marked the start of the company's internationalisation.

China

The Degao company based in Jieyang, China, was selected as a strategic partner both for Germany and also for the formation of a joint venture in China: during the Sino-German conference of medium-sized enterprises, the contract for the formation of a joint venture for the production and marketing of waste heat power plants was signed on 5 June 2015. For this, the Chinese partners are planning an overall investment of 80 million euros for a total production area of 16,000 m². In Jieyang, the waste heat power plants will be manufactured to German standards and marketed for the whole of China and the Asian area. It is planned that a yearly output of 1000 systems will be achieved 5 years after the start of production.

The joint venture company, Guangdong DeWeiGao High Technology Energy Co., Ltd., is one of the first companies that will be working in the Sino-German Metal Eco City – a highly innovative industrial park for the establishment of German companies. German high-tech combined with the visionary design potential of the Chinese partner results here in the realisation of synergy effects for a business with great future promise.

In China, technology enjoys great public interest, because topics such as energy savings, environmental protection, highly efficient and economical use of raw materials and resources, and waste industrial heat are major components of the Chinese government's 13th Five Year Plan (2015-2019). The potential amount of electricity to be generated by ORC waste heat power plants in China is around 500 Gigawatt.

Other countries

DeVeTec is also active in India and in the European markets: especially in the EU the company, with its ORC waste heat power plants, can significantly contribute to achieving Brussels' stated goal of reducing primary consumption by 20% (EU Energy Efficiency Directive of 04 December 2012).
